Monte-Carlo 2025: The TV Festival Lighting Up the Riviera

From June 13 to 17, 2025, Monaco will host the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival — a glamorous, prestigious event blending red carpet premieres, star-studded encounters, and exclusive screenings in the heart of the Riviera.

A Global Celebration of Television Excellence

Founded in 1961 by Prince Rainier III, the festival has become a key gathering for the international television industry. Under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II, it highlights outstanding talent from around the world, in a setting that is both elegant and accessible to the public.

Stars on the Red Carpet

The festivities will kick off on June 13 with an opening ceremony hosted by journalist Génie Godula. Among the headline guests this year:

Robin Wright, acclaimed for House of Cards, will receive the Crystal Nymph for her lifetime achievement.

Rising star Jaz Sinclair (Gen V) will be honored as International Rising Star.

The beloved cast of Little House on the Prairie will reunite to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary.

The team behind the French hit series Un si Grand Soleil will meet fans during a special session.

Premieres and Exclusive Events

One of the major highlights will be the world premiere of Watson, a CBS Studios production, presented by actor Morris Chestnut and showrunner Craig Sweeny. Several other series will also be previewed, followed by Q&A sessions with their creators.

“Behind the Scenes” events will offer attendees a rare look at the creative process behind some of the most successful shows.

The Official Competition

At the heart of the festival is the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards, which will honor the best in Fiction, News and Documentaries. The Prince Rainier III Special Prize will recognize a production focusing on environmental preservation.

The closing ceremony on June 17 will unveil the winners and end the festival with a dazzling gala evening.

Open to the Public

One of the festival’s most remarkable features is its openness. Many events are free to attend (subject to availability), while a VIP Pass offers premium access to red carpet events, private encounters, and gala evenings.
